Walk 4 Tibet in Melbourne, 24 July 2011

Walk 4 Tibet in Melbourne, 24 July 2011, Victoria, Australia.

On this cool, drizzly Sunday morning, over 70 Melbournians (and some out-of-towners!) met up in Treasury Gardens and walked through the city to show their support and solidarity with the Tibetan people, who have suffered and continue to suffer at the hands of the Chinese Communist regime. Attended by representatives of the Australia Tibet Council (ATC), United Nations For a Free Tibet (UNFFT) & the Chinese Tibetan Friendship Society, the day was a huge success and drew the attention of curious onlookers to the Tibetan cause. Our goal was to have a peaceful march in the name of human rights and freedom, and to raise awareness about Tibet, and we did it! Thanks for coming everyone!! :-)
